This length includes the ruffle. You will have plenty of room to wrap this scarf around your neck comfortably. We adore functional and comfortable accessories.
Artistically created and hand sewn using some upcycled, hand cut, patchwork cottons and linen squares from various clothing and fabric, and other squares are new fabric.
All fabric has been laundered prior to sewing. Each scarf is completely unique and patters will vary with its design. There are no two alike ~ so enjoy a One-of-Kind creation that will keep you toasty warm as well as stylish.
Patches are always a mix of stripes, plaid, checks, and floral that make up this colourful scarf. This is a lighter weight scarf using cotton and linen fabrics for the warmer climates.
We are proud to say that scarves our scarves are ‘rough around the edges’ as that is the character of Patchwork and scraps. We really like how the imperfect stitchery in our scarves is not professional like a mass produced company. Sometimes the squares are not straight or the scarf may not lay just flat or even, but that is actually the beauty of these scarves.
We want a finished product that is functional and does the job well, yet still looks handsome or pretty with a an obvious handmade touch. We hope you will find a place in your heart for our handmade traditional scarves, rugs, and potholders.
You will have plenty of room to wrap this scarf around your neck comfortably. The raw edge stitching is an attribute of the shabby chic tattered look so you may have some strings to trim occasionally.
🌀CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
The preferred method is to HAND WASH in the sink with a bit of dish soap and then hang to air dry. And spot cleaning is actually best, but sometimes you just have to wash it completely. You can wash it on GENTLE cycle in the washing machine, but make sure it is placed in a mesh bag or pillow case…or you may have some minor stitching repairs, if any of the squares don’t hold, as the agitation of the machine can be rough on the delicate scarf.
