Your bare feet will enjoy the feel of a Rag Rug so much that you will want to return again and again to your favourite spot to stand whilst washing dishes or just sit and rest your feeties before you climb into bed for the night. .

These Rag Rigs are very thick, sturdy, and hard wearing. Rag Rugs are just so durable and long-lasting. They feel as good on your feet during warm summer weather as they do during the chilly winter season. Each one is truly unique with its varying colour combinations. Rag Rugs are useful in any room, but the smaller MAT size makes the perfect bath mat, or kitchen sink rug, perhaps even as a cozy bedside rug in a child's room.

All of the clothing/fabric that is used in our Rag Rugs has been laundered before being woven into a rug. Most of the Rag Rug fibres are blends of cotton, wool, but there are the occasional rayon or polyester pieces, which in no way make the Rag Rug inferior in sight or feel.

This distinctive appearance of this oversized potholder rug is different than other woven rugs because it is made in the style of the old-fashioned potholders that we all loved to make as children. They simply have just been enlarged.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

To clean- just spot wash with warm water and a gentle soap-then air dry outdoors in the summer or indoors in the winter. Spills can simply be cleaned with a gentle scrubbing brush and soapy water.

I still prefer the tried and true method: of just keeping it simple by choosing colours that work for your setting, for better wear overall. Many folks just toss it in the washing machine on the GENTLE cycle…but I always hope the knots will not unravel with the modern machine agitation. I have never heard of one unraveling ….yet.

These Potholder Rag Rugs are TRULY an inspiration by CrispinaFfrench who made the big sized potholders actually come to life, so we like to give credit to her for getting her idea out there and making it happen. We are so proud to ‘carry the torch’ in her honour. Also, Kristin James at ChunkyRagRugs makes the very best digital PDF woven Rag Rug Tutorial ever! And of course Jennifer Ackerman-Haywood for giving us the ‘can do’ spirit and supporting our determination. These people have been an absolute joy to work with and shared their weaving passion with me, personally.♥️
